A long day today. Not a particularly bad or good day one way or another, just long.
I don't want to ever get into specifics of my job here, but I'll share some feelings on it. I was very tired at work today, struggled to stay awake at my desk. That being said, the atmosphere is tense and anxious. We've got a big thing coming up that everyone is rushing to get organized for, meanwhile we've still got all of our usual work to take care of. It's rough for everyone, and we don't have enough people to take care of it. I'm feeling a bit burnt out and disenchanted with it all, but I want to keep positive. Plus, the prospect of looking for something else right now terrifies me. Mostly, I just kind of shrug and figure "I'll do what I can" and that will have to be enough.
On a more positive note related to organization, I finally got a box for my comic books and got them sorted today. My collection just about seems to fit the box, with just a little room for more. But this is a good reminder that I should read through what I haven't checked out yet before I pick up anything new. I categorized them by major publishers (DC, Marvel, Image) and then within those categorized by big series (Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, etc.). In each series section, I put trade paperbacks first (organized alphabetically) and then individually issues in order. Roughly, of course. Since there are so many different series for Spider-Man, for example, I do the series names alphabetically and go by issue number between that.
Now I think I'm going to curl into bed and try to read some more Batman: Knightfall before I crash.
